Fictiv and Beijing JCEN both promise to get custom parts made. The difference is what you are actually contracting with. Fictiv is a digital supply chain platform that manages a vetted network across several regions, with its own program management on top. Beijing JCEN is one plant in China that makes the parts itself. One sells coordination. The other sells capacity.
Every Fictiv figure below is taken from the public Fictiv website. Every Beijing JCEN figure comes from our own published capability pages. Where a figure is not published, we say so instead of estimating it.

Fictiv Overview

Fictiv describes itself as custom manufacturing built to scale from prototype to production, delivered through a digital supply chain platform. Its stated model is a vetted global manufacturing network across 5 regions, with traceability for every part, hands-on support and technical program management. It states custom mechanical parts as fast as 1 day. Its capability list is broad: CNC machining stated as fast as 2 days, sheet metal, injection moulding with production-grade steel tooling in as fast as weeks, die casting, compression moulding, urethane casting, welding and assembly, and 3D printing across FDM, SLS, SLA, PolyJet and MJF. Its platform offers instant quotes, what it calls expert DFM and automated production updates, and it now offers instant volume pricing that compares unit price, total cost, lead time and savings across up to five quantity tiers in a single quote. It publishes a case study describing a 7x faster development cycle for Honeywell, and lists aerospace, consumer products, automotive, medical, climate tech, robotics, semiconductor and eVTOL among its industries.
Beijing JCEN Overview
Beijing JCEN is a factory-direct metal parts manufacturer. We are headquartered in Beijing with our plant in Nanpi County, Hebei, and we have been in production since 1998. The plant covers 15,000 m2 and runs 6 production lines with 85 people. Laser cutting, press-brake bending, stamping, deep drawing, stretch forming, welding, CNC machining and surface finishing are all in-house, including our own tool room. We hold ISO 9001:2015 (registration 34025Q30296R0S), IATF 16949 and ISO 14001. Published working tolerances are plus or minus 0.1 mm for forming and plus or minus 0.005 mm for machining, sheet thickness starts at 0.5 mm, samples ship in 7 days, quotes include a line-by-line DFM review and return within 24 hours, and production runs 20 to 30 working days. There is no minimum order quantity.

Where Beijing JCEN Has a Clear Advantage
- One accountable party, end to end. With a network model, a quality problem can sit between the platform and the partner who ran the job. With us there is no third party: the die, the press, the inspection and the shipping all belong to one plant, and a single named engineer owns your programme.
- Factory-direct unit economics on repeat production. A platform price carries program management and network margin. Ordering from the plant removes that layer, which matters most on parts you will buy every quarter for several years.
- Stamping and deep drawing tooling. Fictiv lists sheet metal and injection moulding tooling. Progressive dies, draw dies and the presses that run them are a different discipline, and they are the core of what we do. Titanium Grade 2 and Grade 5 and Inconel 625 are machined in-house rather than outsourced.
- IATF 16949 plus published numbers. We hold IATF 16949 alongside ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001, and we publish our tolerances, minimum thickness, sample lead time and production window instead of treating them as quote-time secrets.
Where Fictiv Has a Clear Advantage
- Process breadth that one plant cannot match. Injection moulding, die casting, compression moulding, urethane casting and five additive technologies sit alongside CNC and sheet metal. We do none of those. If your product needs a moulded housing and a printed prototype as well as a stamped bracket, one platform is far less administration than three suppliers.
- Sourcing across five regions. Being able to place a programme in a region nearer your market is a genuine hedge. It helps with tariff exposure, with lead time, and with customers who require production closer to home. We can only offer one site, in China.
- Volume-tier transparency in a single quote. Comparing unit price, total cost and lead time across up to five quantity tiers at once is a better buying experience than a single quoted price, and it makes budget conversations easier. We quote the tool and the part, but we do not yet present multi-tier comparisons in the same way.
- Program management on complex multi-process programmes. Technical program management and automated production updates are built for products that span many suppliers. A 7x faster development claim on a Honeywell programme is evidence that this works at scale, and a 85-person plant does not have that infrastructure.
Which One Is Right for You?
Choose a managed platform such as Fictiv if
- Your product mixes processes, including moulding, casting or additive, and you want one contract.
- You need production placed in a specific region for tariff, lead time or customer reasons.
- You want multi-quantity tier pricing and automated production updates out of the box.
- Your team would rather buy coordination than manage suppliers directly.
Choose a factory-direct manufacturer such as Beijing JCEN if
- The part is stamped, formed or deep drawn, and the tool will be run repeatedly by the same plant that built it.
- You want the plant price rather than a platform price on a multi-year programme.
- You want no MOQ, a 7-day sample and a human DFM review before tooling is cut.
- You need IATF 16949 scope and published tolerances rather than a quote-time answer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Beijing JCEN an alternative to Fictiv?
Only for part of what Fictiv does. We are a direct alternative for sheet metal, stamping, deep drawing and CNC machining in metal, and for the tooling that supports them. We are not an alternative for injection moulding, die casting, compression moulding, urethane casting or additive manufacturing, because we do not offer those processes. If your programme needs them, a platform covers more of the scope than we can.
Does Beijing JCEN offer injection moulding or 3D printing like Fictiv?
No. We are a metal parts plant. Laser cutting, press-brake bending, stamping, deep drawing, stretch forming, welding, CNC machining and surface finishing are in-house, and that is the complete list. We would rather be clear about it than take an enquiry we cannot serve well.
Can Beijing JCEN source from multiple regions like a network?
No. We manufacture at one site, in Nanpi County, Hebei, China, and we ship worldwide from there. Air freight is typically 3 to 7 days and sea freight 15 to 30 days after production. If your requirement is production physically located in North America or Europe, a network model is the right answer and we are not.
How do Beijing JCEN quotes compare with multi-quantity tier pricing?
We quote the tool and the part together, at the quantity you give us, within 24 hours and with the DFM feedback attached. We do not yet return five quantity tiers in a single quote. If tiered pricing is what your budget process needs, say so in the enquiry and state the volumes you want compared, and we will price those quantities rather than a single figure.
