Frequently asked questions about working with us
How does a project usually start?
With a drawing. Send a STEP or IGES model with a dimensioned DWG, DXF or PDF, and tell us material, quantity and finish. Within 24 hours you get a price, a lead time and a design-for-manufacture review together.
What happens if my drawing has a problem?
You hear about it before metal is cut, not after. The DFM review covers things such as inside bend radius below material thickness, hole-to-bend clearance, unsupported thin walls and tolerances that can only be held if a weld is machined afterwards.
Can you handle both a prototype and the production run?
Yes, and the two are quoted separately. A prototype is made without tooling so the design can still change cheaply; once it is proven, the volume route, including tooling where it applies, is priced against the quantity you actually need.
How do you protect a customer’s design?
Drawings are handled only by the people quoting and producing the work, and we do not publish, resell or reference a customer’s design. If you need a signed non-disclosure agreement before sending files, tell us and we will put one in place first.
